In the past two years, THE BELLES OF LONDON CITY have taken the entertainment world by storm with their innovative all-female quartet of corseted Morris dancers. This singing and dancing troupe have experienced a whirlwind success in the festivals, clubs and streets around the UK garnering praise from the national press.
Dressed in trademark red and white corsets and top hats, the BELLES OF LONDON CITY comprise 4 dancers, musicians and a fool and perform a unique show of traditional Morris and clog dancing, song and music with a modern twist. They guarantee to capture the delight of any audience - last year saw them perform at some of the UK’s biggest festivals (Glastonbury, Camp Bestival), top music venues and nightclubs (Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Koko, Cargo), as well as private corporate events, concerts and primary school workshops.
Better still, the audience get to try it too, as the BELLES OF LONDON CITY invite members of the public to join them in some of their favourite dances. Young and old, male and female – even those with two left feet! – can take part in the Belles experience.
Among those who have been lucky to dance with the BELLES OF LONDON CITY are author Jilly Cooper and even current Prime Minister David Cameron!
